Camp Digital: Bite Sized at MMU

We had a great time at our Camp Digital: Bite Sized event last week. If you attended we hope you enjoyed it too. Special thanks to Richard Eskins from MMU for helping to organize the event and providing the space at the fantastic MMU New Business School, and of course to our inspirational speakers Simon Wharton from PushON, Ian Richards from Serco and our own Chris Bush.

'Guerrilla UX Techniques' by Chris Bush

Chris has developed Sigma’s services in user research, testing and user experience consulting and presented tips, tools and techniques used in iterative, guerrilla UX testing. As well as heading up Sigma’s UX practice in the UK, he is often the Lead Designer on many projects, helping to shape a project from the initial pitch, through user testing to the final release.

Chris has helped to shape the user experience and online engagement strategy across a range of projects and services for Sigma customers including AstraZeneca, Citizens Advice, University of Brighton and InterContinental Hotels Group. Chris is a Human Factors International Certified Usability Analyst, an NUX Steering Group member and Invited Member of the International Liaison Group Web Standards Project (WaSP:ILG).

'Using Analytics to Drive UX Strategy' by Simon Wharton

Simon is managing director of award-winning digital marketing agency, PushON and a founder of the market leading SASCon conference. 'The Creative and Innovative Business Analyst' by Ian Richards

Ian has over 15 years worth of experience in the business analysis field with many large Blue Chip Companies, including Fujitsu, IBM, The AA and British Steel. However, he is currently a Principal Business Architect in Serco's public and private sector businesses, involved in both bid and transitional work in the services industry.

Using thought provoking material, this presentation examines how “unleashing the potential of the mind” can bring about new ideas which can be applied in the world of analysis. Using examples, quotations and different perspectives, this presentation promises to leave the audience reflecting on their own creative legacy to date.
