A little background

Sigma was appointed as the digital partner to Sport England in early 2014. Since then we’ve worked on a wide range of projects to enhance the organisation’s digital presence, design and develop their sector-leading website, and deliver new digital channels to support initiatives like Be Inspired

Our ongoing work

Our work with Sport England in the last year has included:

  • The identification and implementation of a significant number of security and performance improvements
  • An upgrade of the Umbraco CMS platform from version 4 to version 6, bringing with it a wealth of improvements, efficiencies and future-proofing
  • Full support, maintenance and ongoing optimisation of all digital platforms through an SLA-driven contract
  • Development of a searchable image library platform on the main site
  • Design and development of a Use Our Schools microsite within the main site framework
  • Delivery of a range of UX and accessibility improvements to the sites
  • Transition of the digital channels to a responsive framework
  • Development of an online diagnostic tool that identifies the characteristics of high performance in our sporting National Governing Bodies (NGBs), and helps those organisations to plan and implement actions to deliver that high performance
