LTW: Digital Inclusion & Accessibility
By Jennifer Fuller | 20/06/2017
On Wednesday 14th June 2017, Sigma hosted a breakfast meeting at our offices in Hatton Garden as a part of London Tech Week, focusing on Digital Inclusion & Accessibility: Putting principles into Practice. London Tech Week is a festival of live events across the city, showcasing and celebrating the best of tech whilst providing networking, social, learning and business opportunities.
At Sigma, we are very fortunate to work with people that share our passion for making digital platforms more inclusive and accessible for all. Our very own Chris Bush, Head of Experience Design, and Molly Watt, founder of the Molly Watt Trust and owner of Molly Watt Limited talked about ‘How to design & develop in an inclusive way’.
Molly and Chris guided the audience through various challenges and obstacles that commonly prevent users from engaging with digital services. They demonstrated how easy it is to implement accessibility principles into everyday practice and how designing for the minority is actually beneficial not just for those users, but for the majority as well.

We had a great mix of attendees to our breakfast meeting and it was a pleasure talking to everyone about their experiences of well and not so well implemented inclusive design.
We had a marvellous time at London Tech Week and would like to say a big thank you to all that attended. We hope you enjoyed our company, croissants and commentary!
